Designed to parallel the then theme of Freeze/Thaw, through the use of thermochromic pigment, Aurora Borealis was able to experience colour shifts depending on the immediate environmental or applied changes in temperature. The use of solar powered LEDs permitted the installation to once again transform, this time due to the cosmic variance of day and night.
